Incumbent is responsible for coding functions while following all applicable laws. Maintain and fully utilize knowledge of resources for coding and chart auditing. Processing and submitting referrals to insurance companies.

  • Knowledge of the following: CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, documentation guidelines for medical service provision
  • 1-2 Years in Data Entry
  • Knowledge of referral guidelines, insurance and medical fee guidelines
  • Must be familiar with current procedural terminology and international classification of diseases
  • Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians and personnel
  • Previous medical office experience in a health care setting is a plus
