PSYCHIATRIST
Dear Patients:
It is with mixed emotions and sadness that I am announcing my departure from my Psychiatric practice at Clinics of North Texas, effective January 2, 2026. It has been an honor and a great pleasure getting to know you and your families and providing for your health care needs over the years, it is not easy for me to leave the practice that I have been devoted to for 31 years.
You will not be left without a medical home. I will no longer be practicing but I will continue to supervise our two psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, Rebecca Opoku, PMHNP, and Harrison Koranteng, PMHNP. Both psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, Rebecca and Harrison have worked under my supervision and are doing an excellent job. I look forward to continuing to supervise and support them.
For your convenience, all previously scheduled appointments have been transferred to one of our providers at the same date and time. You will receive an appointment confirmation letter soon.
If you choose to select another physician at the Clinics of North Texas, you can call (940) 766-8888 to obtain the names of doctors who are accepting new patients. Your medical record will be maintained at the Clinics of North Texas. Should you decide to transfer care to a physician outside the Clinics of North Texas you may obtain a copy of your medical record by signing a written authorization form. An authorization form may be obtained from our Medical Records department which is located in the basement at 501 Midwestern Parkway E or located on our website under the patients and visitors tab, titled Authorization for Release of Information Form.
I greatly value our relationship and the opportunity to care for you. I thank you for your loyalty and friendship over the years and wish you all the best for a happy and healthy future for you and your family.
Yours Truly,
Benny Barnhart, M.D.
