Pelvic Transvaginal Ultrasound
1. This test will examine the uterus and ovaries using sound waves. There are no known health risks from using these sound waves to make images.
2. There is no prep needed for this exam. The sonographer will ask you to empty your bladder completely before the exam begins. A transducer will be inserted into the vagina to create the image.
3. A sonographer will make a set of images for the Radiologist.
4. The Radiologist will interpret your examination and a report will be sent to your doctor. You will receive your report from your doctor.
