Accurate Lung Function Testing

Spirometry helps your healthcare provider evaluate how well your lungs are working. It is commonly used to diagnose and monitor conditions that make breathing difficult, such as asthma. This test can also help:

  • Identify causes of shortness of breath, coughing, or wheezing

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current treatment plans

  • Assess overall lung function

Spirometry is a quick and painless procedure performed with a device called a spirometer. It measures how much air the lungs can hold and how quickly you inhale and exhale. The device includes a mouthpiece connected to a machine that records and displays your results.
