Pelvic Transvaginal Ultrasound
- This test will examine the uterus and ovaries using sound waves. There are no known health risks from using these sound waves to make images.
- There is no prep needed for this exam. The sonographer will ask you to empty your bladder completely before the exam begins. A transducer will be inserted into the vagina to create the image.
- A sonographer will make a set of images for the Radiologist.
- The Radiologist will interpret your examination and a report will be sent to your doctor. You will receive your report from your doctor.
